Grecian

90 metre long Steel bulk freighter, built in 1891 for the J. P. Morgan owned company “U. S. Steel Corporation”

The ship struck a reef on it’s way a dock in Detroit, for repairs, and began to take on water.
The whole crew survived in the lifeboats, but the vessel was lost.

The Grecian today

Today the vessel lies upright and in remarkably good condition, after being submerged for more than a century.

The wreck is popular amongst divers and can be found at a depth of 30 metres.
